Is Google My Business free to use?

Yes. Google Business Profile is free for any business with a physical location or service area.

Yes. Google Business Profile, previously called Google My Business, is completely free. Any business with a physical address or a defined service area can create and manage a listing at no cost.

The free profile lets you control how your business appears in Google Search and Google Maps. You can add your business name, address, phone number, website, operating hours, photos, and respond to customer reviews. All of this is included without any subscription or payment.

Google does offer paid advertising through Google Ads, which can place your business higher in search results as a paid placement. But the organic listing, the one that appears in the Local Pack and on Maps based on relevance and quality, is free and always has been.

For multi-location brands managing dozens or hundreds of dealer listings, there are third-party platforms that charge for centralised GBP management, bulk updates, and review monitoring at scale. Those tools are paid services built on top of Google’s free platform. The underlying GBP listings themselves remain free.

See how Locus Intelligence manages this across your dealer network in 30 days.
