There are two things people typically mean when they ask about deleting a Google Business account: removing a specific listing, or deleting the Google account that manages the listings.
To remove a specific business listing, sign into business.google.com, select the location, and look for “Business Profile settings.” From there you can find the option to “Remove listing.” Google may still show some information about the business from third-party sources, but your managed listing will no longer be active.
To delete your Google account entirely, go to myaccount.google.com, find “Data and privacy,” and look for “Delete your Google Account.” This removes the account and all associated data, including any Business Profiles managed through it. This is a significant and irreversible action that should only be taken if you are certain you want to remove your Google account permanently.
If your business has closed and you want to let customers know, a better approach than deleting the listing is marking it as permanently closed. This keeps the listing visible so customers searching for you can see that the business is no longer operating, rather than finding outdated information that suggests it still is.
